A few extra details regarding our 2026 Virtual Competition.
Don't forget to read the Rules and Regulations for more specific information.
Why is there a Virtual Competition when in-person regionals are back?
The aim of the CPAC is to offer accessible formats to competitors Canada-wide. Virtual competitions are inclusive to Canadian competitors who are not ready/able to travel or participate in large events.
How does a Virtual Competition vary from live events?
A Virtual competition will run as closely to an in-person event as practical. The Rules and Regulations stipulate the differences, but notably virtual competitions have separate Technical Specs, online video submission of your “best” run through, pre-judging in advance of the event, and an online viewing platform so your performance can be viewed by friends and family from anywhere in the world.
Why is the Virtual competition the same price as an in-person event?
All events have different costs associated, and CPAC has applied a Nation-wide standard for all competitors. All events are equally important, and all events act as qualifiers towards the National event. Whether you are in a smaller or larger, virtual, or live event, all registration fees are the same.
What if I win my Virtual division/level but do not wish to attend Nationals?
We have heard from competitors for whom competition is most engaging when offered in-person and are eager to return to stage. We also understand not all competitors are able to travel or participate in large events. All invitations will be issued to Nationals to qualifying competitors, without the expectation that all competitors will be able to accept. If you are not able to attend Nationals, we hope you enjoy your title as a champion of the Virtual competition.

I currently teach Pole, Hammock, and Aerial Silks at Sky Studios Fitness. With a deep passion for the aerial arts and a strong belief in uplifting the community, I'm excited to bring positive energy, thoughtful feedback, and genuine support to all of this year’s competitors. It’s an honor to be part of the CPAC judging panel, and I’m thrilled to help celebrate the incredible talent and dedication on stage this year!

Anna von Hoyningen Huene

Anna von Hoyningen Huene

 
Anna is a dedicated pole and aerial artist with over 30 years of training & performance experience and 20 years of expertise in coaching. She trains and coaches at her studio, AcroPark, in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, specializing in pole, aerial silks, hammock, hoop, straps, and trapeze.
Anna has competed nationally and internationally at the highest levels for the past 12 years. She is a certified pole and aerial coach (IPSF & ENC), an IPSF-certified judge, and holds higher education in exercise science and educational technology. Anna is proud to be a member of the Canadian pole and aerial community and hopes to help support the next generation of athletes and artists.

Aysia Yeo

Aysia Yeo

 
Aysia is a dancer of over 25 years, ranging from jazz and acro to ballet with pointe and pole of over 13 years. Having experience judging virtual pole competitions for the last few years, she is excited to see what the competitors at CPAC bring! Experienced in choreographing large group pole routines as well as solos/small groups, she's looking for clean lines, pointed toes, and great audience contact to draw the viewer in to a performance. Outside of dance, Aysia has worked in IT for nearly 20 years, and is often found in the garage working on her twin 1991 Tercels.

Jenny Goodwin has been doing pole sport & art for fourteen years which includes 9 years of instructing & coaching and 12 years competing at National and International levels. In 2019, she competed at the POSA World Championship in Finland.
 
She is certified as Circus Instructor with Ecole Nationale de Cirque; Module 5 with Alixa Flexibility; Judge with CPAC; and coaching certifications with CPSAF and IPSF.

Joanne Jade fell in love with pole after trying it for the first time in 2012 and has never looked back since! Joanne began teaching pole as a sub in 2013, and teaching her regular classes in January 2014. Joanne loves the progress she sees in students, and is thrilled to be part of the vibrant Redefine Fit family and is always thrilled to represent the studio <3

She loves the support within the pole community, having both competed and placed in CPFA/CPAC and PSO as well as lending her expertise in pole as a judge for competitions from Vertical Love’s Great White North, CPFA/CPAC and PSO. Joanne also lends her expertise and experience in pole and previously sat for a term on the IPSF (International Pole Sport Federation) sub committee, which is the international governing body applying for Olympic status for pole sports.

Julia Spellman is an actress, coach, and multidisciplinary performer specializing in acting, aerial arts, dance, and modeling. She holds two degrees in Acting—from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and George Brown College. A champion aerialist and experienced stage artist, Julia brings a unique blend of strength, creativity, and performance expertise to the judging panel

Mitchell Eckert

Mitchell Eckert

 
Mitchell is a Circus Artist who specializes in Aerial Hoop, has secondary disciplines of Aerial Net and Duo Straps, and has lots of experience in Rope, Dance, Adagio, and Acrobatics. Raised in Calgary, he developed a passion for creativity and being upside down before moving to Vancouver in 2019 to attend a post-secondary education circus program at 'The Circus Lab' in Langley, Canada. Graduating in 2022, he was immediately contracted with Carnival Cruise Lines as an aerial swing, returning in 2023 as lead male aerialist and Aerial Captain. During this time, Mitchell discovered a love for Aerial Hoop, creating an act that earned him a 2024 audition with Cirque du Soleil. He has since performed Internationally with Salieri Circus Award of Italy, Virgin Voyages & The 7 Fingers in 'Another Rose', and in Canada with The Calgary Stampede, Le Cirque de la Nuit, NZR Productions, Alberta Circus Festival, and most recently, a US tour with Cirque du Soleil & V Star Entertainment in 'Cirque Dreams Holidaze'. Mitchell is a very ambitious out-of-the-box thinker and creator, using his versatility and big imagination for his work. When he's not in the air, you can probably find him cafe hopping with his pumpkin oat latte, journal, and a podcast.

Stephanie Allester

Stephanie Allester

 
Stephanie Allester has been dancing professionally throughout her adult life, and entered her first pole competition in 2014. This has included several events in CPAC, PSO, and the Vancouver Island Pole Competition, with multiple titles. She choreographs and teaches pole, as well as performs at various venues throughout Vancouver Island. Stephanie has a well-trained eye for detail, technique, and quality of expression. Stephanie is an advocate for fitness and sporting opportunities for women and all dancer-athletes, and excited to be part of the judging panel.

Tina Stone

Tina Stone

With over 35 years combined experience in competitive gymnastics, dance and pole fitness, Tina has been instructing and competitively coaching in all disciplines of pole, heels, silks, lyra, tumbling, and more for over 15 years. She has certified, judged and volunteered with CPFA, PSO, IPSF and POSA at regional and national events annually upon their establishment in Canada, with the goal to keep current and comprehensive knowledge of the pole and aerial competition circuits.

As director of Canadian Pole and Aerial Sports Inc. and newly appointed organizer of the CPAC, Tina is thrilled to be provided opportunity to continue the longstanding history of the Canadian Pole and Aerial Championship. She is committed to promoting an unbiased, inclusive, high-quality competition experience to athletes across Canada.

Dedicated and experienced aerial artist with over 10 years of training and performance experience. Owned and operated a successful aerial arts studio for over 4 years, managing programs, events, and student development. Taught a wide range of aerial disciplines for 8 years. Competed and performed in diverse venues and showcases, combining artistry, athleticism, and storytelling on stage. Passionate about inspiring students of all levels to build confidence, strength, and creativity through movement.

Zoé Malika has a true passion for pole and aerial since 2007 and made it her career as a coach and acrobat. As the studio owner of Studio Phénix for almost a decade, she thrives to bring the best experience to her students so they can blossom with beauty and power, like a bird of fire! She wishes to inspire people to try pole and aerial and not be intimidated by those acrobatic and artistic sports, to follow their heart and discover an amazing way to move, build strength and flexibility as well as enjoy a fitness workout without boundaries. Being a judge for CPAC since 2022, Zoé also found a passion for the competition side of pole and aerial as a judge, focussing on equality and fairness as well as giving feedback that is intended to inspire the competitors to surpass themselves artistically and acrobatically!
