2024 Inclusivity Initiative

1Acknowledgement
The CPAC acknowledges its events are held on the land of Indigenous nations throughout Canada.

The CPAC pays respect to BIPOC Sex Workers, Strippers and Erotic Dancers that gave origins to the established Pole industry and Pole competitions, including hosting the original Miss Pole Dance Canada competitions in their clubs.
2Principles
Sport inclusion is a fundamental principle of the Canadian Pole and Aerial Championship. The CPAC Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, detailed in the CPAC Regulations, affirms its commitment to providing a safe, supportive and respectful space, regardless of any differences based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or disability.

The CPAC supports growth in our industry by creating an unbiased platform to support competitors Canada-wide.
3Overview
The CPAC Inclusivity Initiative is a financial funding program that aims to provide access to performance and competition opportunities to support designated priority groups, including individual applicants who are:
• BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of colour),
• Trans,
• Deaf or Disabled, or
• Currently working in the sex work industry.

Successful applicants will receive one (1) invitation directly to the National final event of the competition season, one (1) competitor registration and one (1) photo and video media package. No funds are distributed directly to the participant.

Financial sponsorships will be awarded confidentially to qualified applicants based on self-identification of designated priority group and demonstration of financial need.

The quantity of financial sponsorships awarded is based on the number of purchased Inclusivity Initiative sponsorships in a competitive season prior to the sponsorship deadline.

Businesses or individuals wishing to help support accessibility of competitive sport for all can purchase an Inclusivity Initiative Sponsorship package consisting of one (1) competitor registration fee.

The CPAC commits to program support, outreach and funding distribution, as well as ensuring funding for a minimum of one (1) successful applicant per competition season. The CPAC further commits to matching sponsorship funding by offering each successful applicant one (1) photo and video media package of the performance sponsored by the Inclusivity Initiative sponsorship.

The CPAC will notify each applicant the results of their application no later than March 15, 2024. Results cannot be requested in advance.
